I chose the Birds design sheet and came up with this card.
I used a Kraft card A4 sheet, scored and folded at not quite A4 with an edge showing down the right hand side as you look at it.
I used First Edition New Leaf papers, some hessian, a Craftwork Cards sentiment, coloured with Ivory promarker to blend in, a doily and some Tattered Lace leaf dies, cut out in green and copper papers. I was going to put the hessian straight across the card, but when I laid it down it took on a curved shape which I quite liked, so I left it that way !
Rather than mat the images onto card I edged them with a Cocoa promarker and added some small gems, plus some Stardust stickles, which I also added to some of the leaves on the background paper.
Normally I use an insert inside my cards, but recently have been trying different things. This time, as I had added some of the paper to the edge of the card I thought another doily and image would look good. I edged the image with a Plum promarker this time, to match the colouring on the birds, added some Stardust stickles again, and edged along the edge of the paper with Cosmic Shimmer twinkles, in Phill Martin's Frosted Mink colour.
Thanks for looking, hope you like what I've done.
The prize for the overall 1st prize winner is a $15 discount from the store. But remember we always do pick a second and third winner as well and these winners can claim the "Top 3 Winners Status Badge" on the Winners Tab of the blog. Most important though....don't forget you are only allowed a maximum number of three entries....we choose the winners ourselves, so it's not a case of a random choice, therefore any entry over three will not be included !
