Well, I've just managed to catch yet another mouse, a little "gift" fetched in by one of our cats earlier last night. We were sitting watching George Gently when I head a scuffle, and at that time wasn't able to catch mousey, but now, 5 hours on, husband in bed, me sitting here wide awake as per usual, I managed to grab his tail as he sheltered under the bottom of my jeans near my right foot when I moved a cabinet to see where he'd got to ! Success ! I dropped him into the large sweets jar we keep for such occasions, then tipped him out the lounge window....I then heard noises, and along came one of our cats heading right towards mousey who was sitting quietly, still in shock and recovering from his ordeal...luckily Minnie didn't notice him, but was more attracted to the piece of cheese that had also fallen out of the sweet jar (which we put in the jar earlier hoping to draw mousey out of his hiding place). I had a torch and scanned the ground outside, only to see mousey walking off slowly and quietly so as not to attract any further attention...result
I thought I'd add the above card to this post, it's one I made for my husband's eldest grandaughter last December, and just captures the mood of the mouse in question, thanks to the lovely House Mouse designs.
