Happy Days
Here's my entry for the Creata Challenge # 2 - Lots of Layers. I used Creata backing paper, mirror card punched into a border using an EK Success punch, Creata hat and flower embellishments, and a DigiStamp Dreams digi image which I coloured in using Pro and Flexmarkers. I also used Bazzill card and a couple of other bits and pieces to finish it off. I've used Promarkers before but not Flexmarkers, they do flow in a different way and I thoroughly enjoyed using them. Here's the link to the challenge http://creatachallenge.blogspot.co.uk/

My new desk tidy !
Here we are, all my own work....I entered this into a challenge where the theme was to make something using a loo roll inner...well, this used three, but will come in very handy alongside my larger storage carousel which is overflowing ! I used Pink Petticoat papers, Creata mirror card and Joy die, flower from Create and Craft, ribbon, Liquid Pearls and little flower beads from Debbi Moore.

Back to winter
Well, here we are, almost mid-May, and the weather has taken a dive and it's more like October ! When it's so dull and cold it's hard to get your creative juices flowing, but here are a couple of cards I made recently using digi images from the Secret Rose Garden range, they are called Jack and Lily and I coloured them in with promarkers.

Creata Challenge #1 Floral
This is my entry for the Creata Challenge #1 Floral ...it's a bit quirky and rustic !!, the flowers, grass strip and petals are hand drawn (sorry !) and cut out from a loo roll inner, and I have used three colours of Creata mirror board to highlight the centre of the card and the flower heads. The backing is a webbing ribbon and I've used Whisper pens and distress ink, plus some diamond glaze on the flowers and grass. I've never entered a challenge via a blog link before so thanks to Creata for helping me to broaden my horizons :o)
Birdhouse card
I made this to send to a friend in a card group I belong to....the theme was Spring. The card blank is from Craftwork Cards. I inked over the aperture with a brush using Frayed Burlap to create a dark circle on the inside, then lightly brushed the card with the same colour, and to create the woodgrain effect I inked the inside of an embossing folder, laid the front of the card inside, in sections, and pressed down using my brayer. Then I decorated with a bit of lattice work, flowers, Hunkydory birds and butterflies, string from the kitchen drawer and freebie ladybirds from a magazine :o)
D'you ever get the feeling you're being watched ??
Just a bit of fun....this is one of our cats, PepC, hiding underneath a blanket :o) She's the loopiest cat we've ever had, hence her nickname, Loop da Loop !!
Creata goodies
Here are a couple of cards I made using some Creata products.....gold rub-ons and metal effect embellishments on the male card, and lovely flower on the oriental card (the image is a free download from DigiStamp Dreams, you can find them on FB). I'm really getting into Creata and love the Carley shows on Thursdays on Create and Craft.
Working with acetate
I love all the patterned acetates, but up until recently all I did was just look at it and put it away again....but now I'm making a real effort to use it, and here are three samples that I came up with..so far !
Gilding Flakes and Vintage Charm
I had a go at a couple of different things a few months back and they seem to have been quite popular, so I thought I'd give them an airing on here. The gilding flakes and heart stamp image are from Indigoblu, and the web ribbon from Leonie Pujol...and the Vintage card is made up of Hunkydory elements, MME flowers and distress ink.
